LA7 to boost World Superbike coverage
The Superbike World Championship will gain a major boost on Italian television from the Brno round onwards after the LA7 TV broadcaster announced that it has decided to extend its live coverage to the Saturday morning qualifying session in addition to its regular Saturday Superpole programme and Sunday Superbike races.

For the Czech Round therefore, LA7 will begin its weekend coverage at 10.45 in the morning of Saturday 25th July.

In the wake of the new agreement for the next three years between the Telecom Italia Media-owned TV broadcaster and Infront Motor Sports, coverage of a sport that year after year has recorded a major increase in its viewing audience, with some races reaching an average of over 1 million spectators, is now being boosted.

The round at Monza in May recorded an average of 1,300,000 TV spectators, with a share of 8.1%, and with a catchment public equivalent to 17.5 million people contacted since the start of the world championship in February.

Further developments are expected with LA7 in the next few months with the arrival of High Definition broadcasting.
